The Thames Valley Group of Advanced Motorists (group 2061) is one of more than two hundred local
organisations affiliated to the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM).
The Group is based in Maidenhead and covers the area shown here.
We are a group of car drivers who are dedicated to the advancement of Road Safety
by improving the driving standards of ourselves and others to that required by the IAM. Our objective is to
improve the quality and quantity of better drivers on our overcrowded road system.
The Thames Valley group was formed in June 1978 and now has in excess of 360 members from all walks of
life and ages ranging from 18 to 80. Meetings are held at Holyport, to the south
of Maidenhead and close to Junction 8 on the M4.
Would you like to:
- Become a safer, smoother and more progressive driver?
- Have your driving skills recognised?
- Prepare for advanced driving test?
